Social Networking
Web based linkages are possible through new internet companies using "viral marketing", where sites rely on others to bring in their social network, therefore the expansion is essentially free, and communication is very fast. This unleashing of the seamless network depends on the passing on of details of friends to someone else. I am not sure if that many people really want to pass on lists of their friends, very similar to the old network marketing concepts. At the moment it all seems like another bubble and a collossal waste of time.
